Element-Are History___ Calcium

Calcium was discovered by Humphry Davy. He discovered the element Calcium by isolating impure metal from Calcium. We can isolate calcium and prove its existence by isolating it from compounds by using the electrolysis of the mixture lime and mercuric oxide. We can find calcium in Earth's crust because it is the fifth most abundant element in Earth's crust. Calcium is commonly found as a compound. Calcium is part of the compounds Gypsum, Calcium nitrate, Calcium phosphate. Calcium is in group 2 period 4. It's organized in this way because Calcium is an alkaline Earth metal.

Holy Cross Problems

A problem that Holy Cross has is they don't own a track. This is a hindrance of Holy Cross because the track team constantly has to go to St. Simon and use their track for practice. My solution is we could build a track with the extra land Holy Cross owns. We could help this happen by starting a fundraiser.
